TV & Internet

With so many subscription streaming services available, it would be difficult to satisfy every guests' TV entertainment preferences. However, Playa Sable is equipped with a LED TV with HDMI input and Fibre Optic High-Speed internet WiFi, children's books and boardgames, and we invite guests to bring their own Chromecast, Fire Stick, Roku, laptop, or other entertainment devices to connect to the TV and WiFi so they can enjoy uninterrupted entertainment that they would be enjoying from the comfort of their own homes.

Handy Pull Wagon

Don't want to carry all your gear on your backs to go to the beach?

No problem! We have a handy wagon for you in the back shed. Please keep it clean of debris and return it when you're done so that all our guests can continue to enjoy the convenience.

Damages

Please report any damage right away. We are happy to work with you to resolve any issues.

Pet

Sorry, no pets are allowed. Some of our visitors have allergies, and we want to ensure a pleasant environment for all of our guests during their stay.

Security Cameras

There are two (2) security cameras on the property, both are exterior to the house. Camera 1 faces the front yard / drive way. Camera 2 faces the back yard.

Both cameras are installed for security and safety purposes, and will not violate your privacy inside the house.

Smoking 

Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the cottage or any common area on the property.

Vaping / E-Cigarettes

Vaping and e-cigarettes of any kind are not allowed anywhere on our property. No exceptions.

Marijuana and Drug Use

The use or possession of marijuana or other recreational drugs of any kind is not permitted anywhere on our property, including inside your vehicle. This includes but is not limited to smoking, edibles, vaping, and extracts. This also includes drug paraphernalia, such as but not limited to pipes, bongs, and syringes. Violators to this strict policy will be asked to leave and no refund will be given. 

Visitors

Only registered guests are permitted on the property at Playa Sauble. Please contact us if you wish to have any visitors on the property. 

Fireworks

Fireworks of any kind, including sparklers and Chinese Lanterns, are prohibited at any time.

Campfires

There is a private fire pit in the backyard for the enjoyment of our guests. Fire regulations may occasionally restrict their use during fire bans. All fires must be extinguished by midnight and never left to burn down. Never allow any burned firewood outside of the pit. Fires must never be left unattended and children are not to be left in charge of the fire at any time.

Limited firewood is provided. Additional firewood can be purchased at Value Mart. Do not bring wood from anywhere else. We do this to protect our forest.

Quiet Time

Our cottage is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, shared with local families. All outdoor noise should end by 10:30pm at the latest, to respect our neighbours.

Rowdy and Disruptive Behaviour

Drugs, drunkenness, rowdiness, or any abuse, verbal, physical or otherwise, will not be tolerated and offenders will be asked to leave. We keep a quiet and respectful property. There is zero tolerance for disruptive or abusive behaviour.

Garbage

Do not leave food or garbage of any kind outside overnight. This includes coolers. We do not wish to attract bears, raccoons and other wildlife. A bagged garbage can is provided near the driveway at the front of the property. Please leave your accumulated garbage and recyclables neatly in the outdoor garbage box.

We are Green and Clean. Please use our blue recycling bin and help keep Sauble Beach clean. The Bruce Peninsula will only recycle tin cans, bottles, jars, plastic containers, paper and cardboard. Do not put food wrappers such as plastic wrap, sandwich bags, plastic grocery bags, styrofoam, tin foil in the blue box. These items must be placed in the garbage. Sand & Laundry Don't Mix

Fine sand is a wonderful thing on the beach... but not for the washer or dryer and Playa Sauble's septic system! We are pleased to offer you laundry facilities, and we kindly ask you to help us keep it in working condition by shaking your laundry free of sand (preferably outside on the deck) before putting them into the machines.

Limitation of Liability

Playa Sauble does not accept liability for damage or loss to personal property or injury to persons of any kind while using our facilities and grounds. Children should always be supervised by adults. Please use reasonable care, be safe, and enjoy your stay at Playa Sauble!

Time

Personal Belongings

Don't forget to pack your personal belongings such as:

🔲 Streaming devices you attached to the TV to watch your favourite streaming services

Air Conditioning Remote Controls

Please return all air conditioner remotes to their proper spots so that the next guests can find them easily. We would greatly appreciate if you set them to 23 degrees to help us save electricity. Thanks!

Linens / Towels

🔲 If you have used any of the provided linens, please wash & dry them, and return them to the same location / condition as your found them in.

Cleaning

We do supply a detailed deep cleaning service between guests. However, we require tat guests leave our cottage in a tidy condition, so that we can focus on deep cleaning and dis-infecting the house for the next guests.

🔲 Please ensure that you have loaded all used dishes in the dishwasher and started a wash.

🔲 Please clean up any large debris.

Garbage

🔲 Garbage and recyclables need to be taken to the road-side garbage box in the front of the house.

Yard

🔲 Please ensure that you have covered up the fire-pit & bbq in DRY condition.

Equipment

🔲 If you have borrowed any equipment, such as carts, body boards, etc, please ensure that they are dusted and returned to their proper storage location.
